03:39 pm - What I mean WHAT SOPHIE MEANS
You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong. You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know. You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do.
You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life. You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you. At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.
You are influential and persuasive. You tend to have a lot of power over people. Generally, you use your powers for good. You excel at solving other people's problems. Occasionally, you do get a little selfish and persuade people to do things that are only in your interest.
You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out. Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia. Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person.
You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.
You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

04:42 pm - Sorry guys... I'm afraid I've been abducted by Facebook.... even Myspace has experienced a bit of "tumbleweeds through an empty street" syndrome recently. Come find me there, if you want.
I've never thought that anyone was particularly bothered about my journal of life, be it Live or otherwise.

11:37 am My darling englishvoodoo treated me to a night out at the theatre on Saturday. He would have kept it a secret, except it came out in a random conversation with friends that I have an inexplicable weariness of the show my man wanted to take me to;
The Rocky Horror Show!
I think it was the fault of "the psycho ex", who hated it, still for reasons unknown to me. You'd think I'd purposefully and totally delve head-long into the movie, musical and cult-fibre of it all, just as a small hint of retaliation, but I didn't. But the show; it was GREAT! I had a really good time. And the best bit:
Richard O'Brien himself played Roxy, the usherette, and played his favourite song from the musical, then the intro & came back on at the end! To have the writer himself, "Riff Raff", involved was a huge bonus, especially for an enthusiast like englishvoodoo!
I really enjoyed the show (even did the TimeWarp) and it was lovely to have something special to do in one of the few evenings the 2 of us get to spend together these days. Current Location: Office Current Mood: working

01:04 am - Being left behind ... Right, so, ... The stuff happening that I briefly referred to in my last post is all going ahead & official. So no need to be all secretive & cryptic anymore.
For the basic gist, have a look at englishvoodoo 's last post.
Bullet-pointed Version: * englishvoodoo was offered the position of Managing Director at a company being set up by a financial institution in Melton Mowbray. * englishvoodoo has accepted the new position & handed in his notice at work yesterday. * As of midday today, he is on gardening leave; Not having to work his 4-week notice period, not allowed to work for anyone else, AND being paid for it! * He will be moving up to Melton Mowbray in April to begin his new career. * I will be left in our flat, alone, for a month until 2-month notice is up. * I will have to find somewhere else to live in the area. * My love & I will be apart & back to weekends only!!!
OK, so I guess I know your first question: "Why don't you just go with him?"
Well, 1) I've only been at my current job for under 2 months 2) It's my 4th job since I moved to this area to live with englishvoodoo 3) I'd have no job to go to there & no extra cash to keep me going whilst finding one. 4) It's FAR TOO CLOSE to Nottingham, where the Psychotic Ex, Jaz, is. Chances of bumping into him on a night out???? Yeah, exactly! The longer I can put that off the better. F***ing loser.
Anyway.... That's all for now.
Got an early start. Current Location: Home - for now - Current Mood: contemplative Current Music: Combichrist; Sex, Drogen & Industrial

06:11 pm - Just a little update Well, not a lot's happened, really, in a while. Though a lot MIGHT happen in the next few months.... Something EnglishVoodoo & I are keeping a little under wraps for the time being. But, should it all happen, I'm going to be left at a bit of a loose end & we'll be back to a weekend-only relationship.
I've been in my new job about 5 weeks now & it's going quite well. Unfortunately it's a very small company and, although I get on with everybody, I'm finding it difficult to click with with anyone specifically. So, although they're all nice enough people, I don't really socialise with them & often spend my lunch breaks alone down the pub. It's comforting having EnglishVoodoo working in the building opposite me though! Should I feel it necessary, I could have lunch with him most days, but that might be a bit much! It's something a little special we get to do at least once a week, which makes it more enjoyable.
Cyberbiker's planning to take me out for a day in London on my birthday, which is only a few weeks away. Tourist stuff like The Tower of London and/or London Zoo with a meal at a swanky restaurant. Should be a great laugh.... knowing what we're like on a "Special" day out!!
Ho hum.
The boy's currently giving one of the Chris-es (there are 2 of them) a guitar lesson. So as every Sunday evening I've been banished to the bedroom. Thanks god I have my laptop! Time for a game of H.o.M.a.M.4, me thinks! 5 is on the boy's PC.... Grumble... Current Location: Bedroom Current Mood: thoughtful Current Music: 2 whining guitarists

09:39 am - Woohoo! Snow! We looked out of our windows this morning to see that much missed blanket of powdery white all over the roofs of houses, on the cars parked in the road, the lawn in front of our appartment, branches of trees & bushes .... All Over! You could see where Mr. Fox had been venturing during the early morning hours after the snow fall. Either that, or there's a circus-artist being VERY daring & hobbling around the slippery roads on stilts!
Now sitting in a nice warm office. Current Location: Work Current Music: none... except that tune in my head

09:17 pm - The worst thing to happen on Christmas Day ... is to realise you're out of cigarettes at 8:30pm whilst with the family in Curry "Arse-End-Of-Nowhere" Rivel, Somerset, AND NOTHING IS OPEN FOR MILES AROUND!!!
Not a petrol station, not an offie, not even a pub.
I feel like someone's trying to tell me something. ESPECIALLY as my dad found me a 50g packet of Van Nelle tobacco he'd stored for me for just such an occassion (parents are very much against smoking, so that was unusually sweet) but no bloody rolling papers to be found!!! I'd forgotten to bring my smoking-tin with me, so not a Rizzla in sight. AAAaaarrrggghhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, bugger it! Good food though, nice presents and way too much chocolate. I'm sure I've not hit my booze-quota for the day either, so I'm gonna carry on with that now I think!!!
Merry Christmas to all & to all a good smoke! -X- Current Location: @ parents' Current Mood: stressed Current Music: Ludovico Einaudi

01:59 am - Go and have a look!! Hey people!
If you've not yet seen it, there's several links to the BB2 programme The Culture Show on my journal about the expose they did about the Whitby Gothic Weekend.
If you can stand to watch it & make it as far as the Sunday afternoon football match piece ... you'll see me smiling at the match. Yes, I'm an official WAG!
They obviously had to cut out the parts of me heckling Gothic Real, primarily due to the amount of obscenities used!
"Get your fucking eyeliner out and use it as a fucking weapon!" for example.
and
"We want the dog on our team! It's the best fucking player we have!"
Show me you've had a look by leaving a (short, insulting if necessary)comment! Current Location: sofa Current Mood: exanimate Current Music: NIN The Hand That Feels
